Birch Branch Framed Giclée Art Print

Description

The Birch tree thrived on this little island before the ice ages and was one of the first trees to repopulate Britain after the ice melted, huge tracts of birch and pine forest covered this land.

A symbol of new beginnings, hope, and good luck, it has been used to celebrate spring for a long time, sometimes being used as a living maypole, and often used with oak in the Beltane fires.

It is seen as a protector and on midsummer’s eve boughs of birch were hung over doors to bring good luck.

Printed using a 12 colour, giclée process for archival quality prints.
